THE ALGECIKAS CONFIDENCE. M t)u:iD, February 1. There are jewi'iiljtcial hints that Germany will compromise regarding the supervision of the police of Morocco and reorganisation of the administration of the Sultanate. These are the principal outstanding questions, and indication* of a final settlement are expected thereou at Algeciras. A number of matters of detail will be left to the representatives of the Powers at Tangier. France opposes all the proposals denying her general polite control iu Morocco. Germany desires all the Powers to be placed on an equality regarding the .Moroccan State Bank. France contends that it is absurd that Powers without financial interest* ihould be placed on an equality villi herself. The conference has adopted a scheme regulating taxation aud considerably modifying the one submitted hy the jttotoceaft delegates.
