Mr John ford, an old settler of Waimea West, was found dead in one of his paddocks this evening. He cvi dently had broken a blood vessel, lie arrived in Xelson in IS 12. He was aged 71. AsininmiN, January SO. frank McCalr'-rly, a farmer at l-yiulburst, died to-day as a result of injuries received on Thursday, wh.-n the horse he was riding Hoiled and wdlided with a gale post.
