FOG AT NEW PLYMOUTH.

SJIIPPLXG HAMPEIiKD. On 'riuirsday night and nearly all day Friday A'tiv Plymoulk was enveloped in a dense log, through which objects were indistinguishable at even short distances.

Shipping was considerably hampered, the liarawa being unable to make port until 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The Corrinua likewise was fog-bound all day somewhere in the oiling, her whereabouts being indicated from tune to time by the sounding of her fog-horn. Similar weather evidently prevailed right up the coast, as the Takapuua's departure from Onehimga had to be delayed till 8 o'clock this morning. She should arrive about 8 p.m. to-night, enabling her to return to Ouehunga at scheduled time.
