RECREATION GROUND.

The weekly meeting of the Recreation Spoils (iround Committee was held on Wednesday. Present: Messrs A. Humphries (chairman), George, Bewley. Ford, Terliain, (inllilhs anil Tribe.' Mr Tribe was appointed Secretary of the siib-comniittee of the euchre parties. Mr Hobbs was appointed Secretary of the concert sub-committee. The Chairman was authorised lo buy the necessary crockery required for the euchre party, garden party, &c. The Secretary was instructed to write to the N./5. Kughy Union, enquiring as to the movements of the Sew Zealand team, and asking if the Committee lie allowed to entertain the footballers on their way from Auckland to Wellington. The Chairman and Secretary were authorised lo advertise tor ideas for raising money in aid of the Sports Ground, and to give a prize for the best idea.
