Racing Club Handicap: Letlierin 1, Lyrist 2, Ropa 3. Also ran.- Achilles and Makaroff. Achilles led to (he turn, where Letlierin came with a wet sail and won by a couple of lengths. Time, 2.8 2-5, Div., £7 as.
Metropolitan Handicap: Stronghold 1, Chivalry 2, Jolly Friar 3. All started but Baliarat and Gawain. Chivalry led until near the post, when Stronghold came with a lale run and won by a neck. Time, 1.1-12-5. Divs., £1 17s and £'l 15s.
Poneke Hack Handicap: Lady Wayward 1, Apa 2, Czarevna 3. Scratched .- Declination and Gold Lead. A good race. Won bv a length. Time, 1.29 1-5. Divs,, £2 17s and £1 Bs. Mungaroa Hack Hurdle*: Wind 1, South Star i, Waitarere 3. All started. A splendid finish between the placed horses, half a length .separating each. Time, 2.50 1-5. Div., £3 10s. Achilles, Ust (ill), was the hero of the Wellington Cup contest, the race being cut nut in record time. It was a great performance on the part of the exchampion. The Wellington meeting was a series of surprises. The local pcncillors are reported to have had the best of the argument. Cuneiform's victory in lite AVellinglon Stakes makes (he fifth occasion on which the Yaldhurst colors have been successful since the institution of the race in 18',18. I Glcnullin was made the medium of strong support throughout Taranaki for I the Tongariro Hack Race on Saturday. The Lochicl colt acted as runner up to Alia, investors losing 7s for every pound.

It is reported that Mr H. Good will make the trip to Sydney in time to see Maniapoto race in the New market Handicap.
