At an inquest the verdict was that death bad been caused by suffocation through falling in an epileptic lit Ai'cki.axd, January 22. John Osborne died at Covomandel as the result ol injuries in a runaway trap accident 011 Thursday.
AV.hiii, January 22. A miner named Archie Nicholson was killed out eight by an accidental explosion of a charge of gelignite in a rise, between Nos, I and 5 levels, at Ihe Wailii mine. His head was frightfully shattered.

A verdict was returned thai death was due to accident. The body was recovered in the estuary near Sumner yesterday afternoon, 111'SH-PEIiLI.NG PATAUTT. A man named Henri' Conrad was fatally injured while bushl'clling near lngh'wood 011 Monday afternoon. Conrad was working for A. Brown and Co., and was bringing a tree down, when it sprang back oil' the stump, 1 striking him with terrific force on the chest. The unfortunate fellow was brought into inglewood for removal to the New Plymouth Hospital, but died at the Inglewood railway slalion prior lo Ihe arrival of the mail train.
