Hack Hurdles : Geologist 1, Waiiarere 2, South Star 3. All started. Won easilv. Tune, 3.18 3-5. Divs., £1- 8s and 12s. Cup: Kopa 1, Achilles 2, Melodcon 3. All started. Achilles and Kopa fought out Ihe issue nearly the whole way, but in the straight, Kopa, favored with her light-weight, cut down Achilles and won by a length and a quarter, Melodcon beating Paritutu by a quarter of a length for third place. Time, 2.33—a record for the Colonv. Divs., £2ll 18s and £2 (is. I Telegraph Handicap: Ailsa 1, jPctrovna 2, Sir Tristram 3. AH started but Ballaral, Chivalry and Black lieynard.
