rr.u rni:ss association. Duxkmn, January 17. William T. Duubar, a University student, aged It) years, was drowned while bathing this afternoon iu the lower harbour. With two other students, he went to l'ortobello, where tbey procured a boat and were pulling towards the fish hatchery, when they were tempted to go for a swim, Duubar was lirst to enter the water. He had swum but a few strokes when he called out "hurry up." Oottrell, who was only partly undressed, plunged in and got hold of Duubar, but life was extinct when he was taken Iu the shore.
