The Chairman of the Conciliation Board had to deal with nine applications for permits to work at underrate wages by members of the Tailorcsses Union. Four were granted and five were refused. The Chairman said he would take future applications in batches for the Tailores.ses' Union, It was contended that it was unfair to take a girl away from work she was accustomed to, put her to other work, and then classify her as incompetent to earn minimum wages.
