Mr R. W. Holmes, Inspecting Engineer of the Public Works Department, will visit Mount Egmont this week, in connection wtth tho water power scheme for the stone-crushing plant at the termiuus of the branch line. \ Mr S. Forsyth, of Pihama, arrived home from a trip to England last week, and his many friends have decided to celebrate his home-coming by giving him a social in the Pihama Hall to-night.
