The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Whnkatrine, kmiul from Lyttohon, reached the Waitara roadstead early on Monday morning, and at once started loading. Fourteen stevedores were placed on board at Wellington Heads on Sunday to work the cargo at the smaller coastal ports. The Whakatane proceeds - next to Picton, and is due at Wellington about Saturday next. She will proceed thence to Napier, Gisliorne, and Auckland, sailing for London froin the lastmentkmed port.
