THE CZAR AND THE CHURCH. NATIONAL COUNCIL CONVOKED. Received 16,11.20 p.m. St. Petersburg, January 16. The Czar has instructed the Metropolitans to convoke ail extraordinary meeting of the National Council for the settlement of ecclesiastical affairs, and the reform of the National Churches on a basis of the oecumenical canons.
