A fire at Brasch's, the well-known waterproof manufacturer, in CastleJ roagh street, gutted one floor of the heavily stocked warehouse. Tho other floors and goods were badly damaged by fire and water. The damage is nofc stated, but the insurances amount to £IO,OOO.
The loading of wheat ships is at» standstill, owing to the strike amongst tho grain handlers.
