WELLINGTON v. AUCKLAND. PEfl PEBBS ASSOCIATION. Wei.mxc.tox, January 12. The weather is fine for the cricket watch, Wellington v. Auckland. Wellington won the toss and went J in.—Hickson 3!t. Hutchius 8, J. Blacklock (not out) 13. Extra 6. LiTEB. In the match against Auckland, which began to-day, Wellington scored 208. They began well, Hickson batting well for 30, but six wickets were down for 118, when Waters came in, and by bright hitting ran up 42, and was still in when the innings closed for 208. The other scorers were Brice 22, Tucker 18, J. Blacklock 15, C. Black, lock 12, Redgrave, Laws, and Monaghan 10 each. Cliff took four for 28, Ncill 3 for 43, Stempson 1 for 30, nnd McNeill 2 for 32. At the close of the day Auckland lost two good wickets, Lusk and Hcnius for 8. Tho weather and wicket were excel • lent, but the attendance was small
