Logic, a railway guard, was run over while shunting near Port Chalmers, sustaining injuries which it is feared will terminate fatally.

Dvkkdin, January 5. Frederick Logic, the guard on the Fort Chalmers Railway who was injured by slipping while shunting at Sawyer's Bay by the wheel of a truck passing over his abdomen, died in the hospital last evening. He was the sou of a former Collector of Customs, and had been on the Port line since its opening 35 years ago. He was 51 years of age, and leaves a widow and family of four.
