FEDERAL CAPITAL SITE.
AN UNFORTUNATE CONTROVERSY. Stdnet, January 2, Asserted by Cardinal Morari a few days ago, in which he attacked the people of Sydney on their attitude regarding the Federal capital site, and his presuming to speak on boha'f of the people of Now South Wales when ex pressing appreciation of MrDeakin's action, have elicited a reply from Mr Carrathers (N.S.W. Promicr). The latter says the Cardinal is a Home Rulor for Ireland, but not for New South Wales. His utterances are [ those of a citizen with a visiou perverted by strong sympathy with Mr Deakin and antipathy to tho Right Hon. G. H, Rcid and himself.
