CRICKET.
The s.s. Rarawa C.C. have entered a protest re the gold medal won by Fitzpatrick on Christinas Day, as it was distinctly stated the medal was for the two matches, viz., Christmas Day and Now Year's Day. The West End C.C. have endorsed the protest, and any batsman in either team scoring higher than Fitzpatrick, with their Christmas score added, will win the medal on New Year's Day. The following will rcproscnt West End C.C. v. Rarawa C.C. in their return match on New Year's Day, to be played at South Eoad ground at 2 o'clock sharp:—J. C. Davies, Prior, Scandlyn, H. Whittington, S. Waller, Danks, Way, Hardwick, Fitzpatrick, B. Stohr, MeAllum j emergencies, Young and Brown.
