MiMoniNE, Dec. 2(1. Mr O'Donnell, ex-Councillor of I'ralian, and his family and a visitor, Miss Eraser, were fishing al Sorrento, when a huge wave washed them oft' tho rocks. O'Donnell, his two sons and daughter, and Miss Eraser were drowned. Another member of the party had a narrow escape.
A snapping wire caused a (ire at the telephone exchange. It was extinguished, little damage. being (lone. The wiro struck a woman iu the street, causing a severe shock.
