A PLUCKY RESCUE.
TWO CHILDREN N.EARLY DROWNED. ri-'H I'HKSS ASSOCIATION'. CiniTSTCiiuiicir, December 27. At t-lio Catholic picnic. at Riccarton yesterday, a tkrce-year-old child named Darugh fell into the lake. A sister sprang in and caught hold of the child, but being unable to swim was soon in difficulties.
.Tust as the children sunk for the third time a lad named Philip Diryer brought them to land. His father, Sub-Inspector Dwyev, quickly applied first aid remedies, and, after about fifteen minutes, succeeded in restoring respiration.
