Henri Meyor, a European cyclist who recently arrived to compete in the Sydney "Thousand," met with a seri. ous accident while training on the cricket ground.' He was following a motor at high speed whon the front wheel touched the eild of the motor's rol'er. Meyor crashed to the ground, injuring his head and, breaking a shoulder bone.

P£R PBEBS ASBOCIATIOX. Cjiristchubcii, 21, T. McMillan, who alighted from the Springfield train at Lofton this evening, and tried to rejoin it as tne train started, missed his footing, with the result that tho train passed over his right leg, also injuring his head. He was taken to tho Cliristehurch Hospital where he died soon afterwards.
