Attention is directed to the following Resolution of the Now Plymouth Borough Council, passed on 27th of November, 1005 That By-Law No. 10 (26) to prohibit persons from frequenting or using the Recreation and. Racecourse Reserves in the Town of Now Plymouth for the purpose of Book-making, Bet. ting, etc., be enforced at the Race Meetings to be held by tho Tnranaki Jockey Club ; and that cvory person committing a breach of the By-law bo prosecuted ; and also that the Polico Department be requested and authorised to aid in carrying the By-Law into effect; and also that tho Tarannki Joekey Club be authorised and requested to givo publicity to this resolution. The Trirvnki Jockey Club heroby notifies that no person being a Bookmaker ;r his Clerk or Agent will be permitted to enter or to remain upon the property of the Club adjacent to the New Plymouth Recreation and Rueecourso Reserve, or on behalf of himself or any other person to uso any part of the said property for the purpose of bookmaking, betting or wagering, or agreeing to bet, wager, or pay, receive or settle any bet or wager, or, being a betting man or bookmaker, or layer of totalisator or other odds, to transact any business relating to any such calling j and, also, that any such person will be treated as a trespasser, and will be evicted and prosecuted.
