Eight tenants veete resident, out of whom only one was required to reside, twelve settlers had not effected sufficient improvements, and one was in default for residence. It wu decided to notify those in default to show cause why they hare not complied' with requirements.

Consent was given to certain mortgages, and the Commissioner's action in endorsements was approved.

A plan showing the proposed amendment of the boundary of Section 9, Block XIV., Ohura, to provide a better homestead site for Section 10, 08, account of the swampy nature of! the frontage, was submitted. The iroposal was approved, and a temporary lease was granted to the oiwipier of Section 10, at a rental to lie fixed by the Commissioner.

EXTENSION OF LEASE. Mr T. Chamney waited on the Board with reference to his leaso of Section 52, Block 8, Huiroa. It was decided to extsnd the term of lease to 30th September next. The other cases are left in the hands of the Commissioner with power to act.

A HABDSHIP FEABED. E. G. Gandy wrote that the proposed deviation of Tongaporutu-Mangaroa road will deprive his Section 6, Block 6, Waro, of all road frontage.—Consideration deferred until the Boads Department has decided on the deviation.

ASXITAL LEASE. W. H. Foreman was granted a yearly lease of part of Stock Reserve, Section 8, Block 8, Mimi, the lease to be subject to termination by three months' notice in the event of the land being required by the public.

SUBBBXDEB. T. J. Davis was allowed to surrender rough part of Section 1, Block 8, Mimi, on the ground that it is useless for settlement purposes, and the lease will be amended accordingly.

' fOBFEITUBE. The Banger reported on Section 23, Waitara West, suburban.—Resolved that the report be adopted, and that the necessary action be taken in the direction of offering a lease of the land and obtaining back rent for illegal occupation. The following selectors applied to forfeit their holdings.—K. Symes, Section 8 and 9, Block 6, Aria; W. D. Hastie, Section 6jand 7, Block 1, Taurakawa j C. P. Lord, Section 4, Block 15, Upper Waitara.—Approved, subject to payment of overdue rent in two instances.

BKCEEATIOX BBSEBVB. John Harris' application to lease about six acres of Recreation Reserve at Mangaroa, was deferred for further consideration.

CHIUUSS EXTEXDXD. W. L. Fitiherbert applied to purchase part of Nob's Line, a closed road adjoining Section 22, Chilman Township Extended, owned by him. Consideration was deferred pending receipt of Banger's report.

NICKS BEDCCKD. The Banger reported on the present state of improvements on Section 5, Block XL, Opakn, and recommended that the price of the land be rednced. The value of the improvements will be reduced to £759, and of the land to 8s per acre.

Oscar Symes applied to transfer to A. C. Symes his grazing tenancy of Section 5, Block X, Opaku.—Granted.

ACCBfED THIRDS. . The Parihaka Boad Board submitted proposals for expenditure of £2O 15s 6d, accrued tlrirds.—Approved.

A WAIMATB matt™. The Commissioner and Mr Heslop were authorised to inspect the buildings on Section 98, Block 8, Waiftiato, occupied by T. Higginson, with a viewto fixing a cash price for same.

ROYALTIES. The matter of royalty for timber taken from part Section 1, Block 16, Aria, by H. H. Hyde in terms of his license was again considered, and the Commissioner was empowered to take action for recovery of same.

soxiors WEEDS. Mr T. Chsmney mentioned that opposite his land there were about two acres of State Forest which harboured noxious weeds. These he had to clear in order to keep his own land clear, and he asked to be allowed to fence it and lease it for cultivation. The matter was referred to the Commissioner with power to act,
