PER PBESS ASSOCIATION. Chbistchuhch, December 19. At a j meeting of the Waiau District Settlers'. Association on Saturday, it Wis resolved to.write to the Government expressing surprise that they had refused the offer of an Amuri syndicate to construct the Culverden-Waiau section of the North lino of railway, finding the moDcy at 4 per cent, as it is generally considered that tho line when made would return a rate of interest that would compare favorably with any other lino in the' province, and stating that the lino should be pushed on as soon as possible.
