WOOL SALES. lleecived 15, 17 a.m. Sydney, December U. The weeks wool sales closed firm with 1111 appreciable chtuige. Greasy touched ISifd, scoured 2-ld. CiiiiisTcnt'iicii, December 14. The second series of wool sales which started to-day established two records, 0110 being the quantity offered (23,001) bales) and the other being the at tendance of buyers. These included a large contingent of foreign linns, nevertheless prices showed an easier l-udeiiey. Fine half-bred and good three-quarter bred maintained last s iles' rates, while Merinos and cross-lu-eds, in sympathy with the London market, were a id weaker. There were heavy withdrawals owing to reserves not being reached. Prices ranged as follows: —Merino SJd to IM, half-breds !)d to 131 d, three-quarter bred Sid to 12d, crossbred SJd to 11 }d, long wool SJd to Hid, Down lOd to lUd.
