CYCLE ROAD RACE.
TO AVAITAHA AND BACK. A bicycle race has been arranged for Thursday afternoon, lo start at 2.30 11.111. from the lied House Hotel. The linisli may be expected about an hour later, the competitors having to race to Waitaraand back. Prizes are : First, £2 and pair of racing wheels; second, £1 ; third, IDs. A gold medal will be presented lo the rider establishing the fastest time. The following handicaps have been declaredJ. Kenny and C. Lambert, scr. ; 0. Chapman and H.
