Mahulonga showed symptons of shoulder soreness after working at EUrrslie this morning. He has weakened a point in the belting in the Auckland Cup, and (jiurrruian and Paritutu arc quoted equal with him; 4 to 1 being the price on the field. , Glenullin has been scratched for the Taranaki J.C. Christmas Handicap and Stewards. The St. Clements gelding St. Bill is located in town. He will probably be shipped North on Thursday to mlfil - his A.B 0. engagements. Splendid acceptances have been received for the Woodville Jockey Club summer meeting, which takes place next Wednesday and Thursday. Matter* in connection with the Auckland Cup have been very quiet during the last week;. Probably punsters have had their interest .fully absorbed in the issues of the Parliamentary Handicaps. Mahutonga is still the popular fancy in Auckland. It*ls now only a fortnight from the contest. During the next day or so the competitors should arrive on the convincing and some interWing track news should be available.
