SUICIDES.
I J'KH I'UKSS ASSOCIATION. I Di'.vkiiin. December 10. At the inquest on Realrice Mary Portwinc, whose body was found in the harbor, a verdict was returned Ihiq deceased committed suicide while o an unsound mind. The evidence showed she was of somewhat intern penile habits, and a prohibition order was out against her. She suffered very much after her drinking bouts, and \ins subjects to delusions about her neighbors talking about, and playing tricks on her.

Yesterday morning while walking along the eastern bank of the river about a mile from Huntley, Mr Dick Mcintosh found the dead body of a man willi his throat cut almost from ear lo ear. Though the man was a perfect stranger to the district, he had been seen about the neighbourhood for aday| or two. He appeals lo be aLmil forty years of age. The act was evidently! counuilteed on Friday.
