WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING.
The Works Committee met on Thur&diy evening. Present :-His Worship the Mayor, Crs Brooking, Collii, Browne, Kwing, Hutehen, Monteath, Stohr, Tisch and \S llson. The following recommendations were agreed upon That Mr Wood's applie.it ion', to re. pair fence in Buller street be referred to the Engineer with power to act. That the Her. A. Bradbury s applieition to rc-erect his fence ou Kobe •treet be referred to the Engineer and Cr Brookinj with power to act. Thai i!r Conway be informed the Council c.iunot alter its previous d»> cision placing him on the easu.il list of employees. That the deputation relative to the Western Park Exchange wait on the School Commissioners at their January meeting. That the opinion of Mr Samuel be taken on the question of the electric light contract. That the consideration of the letter bom the W.C.T.M. with reference to the control of the ladies' room at the Town Hall be deferred until Monday erening.
