WEDDING BELLS.

HAKLE-ELLIS. A very pretty wedding ceremony in St. Mary's Church, New Plymouth, on Tuesday afternoon, was attended by few others than the very intimate friends and the relations of the contracting parties. Jiev F. (i. Evans olliciated, and united in the bonds of holy matrimony Mr J. W. Harle, son of the late Mr Harle, of Waitotara, and Miss Winifred Ellis, third daughter of Colonel Ellis, of New Plymouth. The bride was given away by her father, and was attended by her sister Miss Isabella Ellis, as bridesmaid. The bride's costume was a beautiful creation of cream silk voile, over glace silk, richly trimmed with applique and riiehings of chiffon. The bridal veil was very much admired, being benulifully embroidered in silk, crowned with I he orthodox wreath of orange blossoms. flic carried a lovely bouquet of while roses and peonies with maiden hair fern and climbing asparagus; and wore a pretty jewel bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid was attired in a handsome blue embroidered voile, trimmed with while silk lace, and wore a pretty picture hat of pale blue chiffon and crinoline straw. The bouquet was of scarlet, peonies and carnations predominating, and the bridesmaid wore the bridegroom's present, a jewel bangle, At the conclusion of the ceremony Mr A. E. Fletcher, organist, played Mendelssohn's " Wedding March" as the hi-ppy couple left the church. At the residence of the bride's parents a revherein- repast was served, and the usual healths proposed and duly honoured. Mrs Ellis, the bride's mother, wore a very handsome costume of black merv, trimmed with black silk insertion, and carried an elegant bonquet; Mrs Pyemont, of Wanganui, sister of the bridegroom, a grey cloth costume faced in cream, with mauve hat; Miss Pyemont, blue voile, whito silk lace trimmings, blue hat with pink roses; Mrs Kerby (Wanganui), black silk, black bonnet relieved with green; Mrs Dell, sister of the bride, navy blue canvas voile, trimmed with cream lace, white straw hat trimmed with pink and heliotrope ribbon and flowers; Miss Brewer (Stratford), grey coat and skirt, white hat trimmed with navy blue; Mrs Ogle (Waitara), cousin of the bride, biscuit-colored voile, with pretty cream and violet hat; Mrs Nosworthy (Waitara), cousin of the bride, white silk, cream and green hat; Miss Mina Ellis, pink sprig muslin, pale blue hat trimmed with autumn leaves; little Miss Nona Dell, pale blue and white, carrying bouquet to match. All the bouquets were very daintily arranged in it manner that won unstinted praise for Miss Cattley, who made them. The newly-wedded couple, who were the recipients of many very valuable presents, left by the 4.15 p.m. train for Hawera, en route for the south to spend the honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was a Morfolk costume of pretty shepherd's plaid, strappings and facings of brown, heliotrope chip hat trimmed with heliotrope chiffon and roses.
