TO THE ELKCTOItS OF TARAXAKI. liiDIES AND (iKNTI-KMKS,— J AM soliciting your votes iu lny favor at (In* coming election, having completed my tour through the electorate where \ have had in every instance well-attended meetings and received good hearings. Mv platform has been well received. My views on the land quesliun come from practical experience. I am a >t;unirh freeholder, ami equally strong on the subject of providing town workers with suitable houses at a reasonable cost. T am a strong advocate of roading iu advance of settlement, and the adoption of a rational system of dealing with railway construction. Technical education should lie carried on to a greater extent than at present, and I will support agricultural and rural education. In regard to the Licensing question I claim that my attitude in the past is <neh that members of lhc 110-lieense party ean feel a>sured that their interest, and that of the community at large will be safe in my hands. I advocate social clubs, where our young men ean meet iu a hall of their own for the purpose of holding literary and debuting and social meetings, and thus be the means of removing our lads from oil' (h<» streets. I >tand for pure administration and will not be a blind follower of anv parly. I ain a native of .\>h Zealand, and for the laM lweuty->evcn years have been a resident of Taranaki. i. have taken great interest in local mailers, and as Chairman of the Taranaki llospiial and Charitable Aid Board, have assisted in makingrcfoni.which merit the institution'* being elated as one of tin- botmthe colony. al>o ipe-'ially may be mentioned the prodding of h;i|'| y homes in ihc eounlry for the children under the Hoard's control and acquiring the freehold of the si\ sections kneun a- the *\H«»pital <iarden-,' and the bcaulil'ving and planting of the Hospital gardens and Home. I sincerely thank you. Ladies and (ientlemcn, for the many acts of kindness shown me during my electioneering campaign, and trust the good feeling existing between myself and the other candidates will continue, as I have not personally done any canvass, ing. I uow respectfully ask vou to vote for,
