A TREMENDOUS EXPLOSION. [Per Phbss Association.] Wellington, Dec. 3. On Saturday afternoon a steam pipe ;it the Electrical Syndicate's works exploded with a report that could be heard a Rile away. There wore three firemen on duly at the time, and one was rather badly scalded about the lhe violence of the explosion caused great excitement in the city for a time, and thousands of people rushed to the scene.
