THE WANGANUI SHOW.
(Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, Nov. 15. The Wnnganm Agricultural Show opened to-day. Entries were equal to those of last year, and on the whole the quality of the exhibits was very good. Cattle were the best seen for years, and sheep were reckoned to be tho fluest seen on the ground. Pigs were not a large class, but the B"rksliires were exceptionally fine. The following choinpionships wcie awarded : Thoroughbred stallior, (Itice's Nestor, Shorthorn bull, Dalziell's Connaught Ranger. Polled Angus bull, Campbell's Duke of York, Cow, Campbell's high class ITolstei bull, Mrs McDonald's Kiglit of Erin ; cow, Mrs McDonald's Magpie. Ayrshire bull, Mrs Caldwell's Jock; cow, Slack Bros.' Princess Louise. Jersey bull, Hunter Larkspur's Optician. Lincoln ram, AVybourne's entry. Itomney Marsh lam, A. Short's entry ; ewe lamb, E Short's Princess Alice. Southdown ram, Mrs Slack's entry ; ewe and lamb, Mrs Slack's entry, Shropshire ram, Mr H, \V, Foreman's entry ; ewe and lamb, J. J. Campbell's entry. Yorkshire boar, E. White's entry; sow, W. J. Harris' entry ; Xamworth boar, E. White's entry; sow, EJ "White's er.try.
