James Pate-rson presented the report of 1 lie Advisory Committee on chuich exleiisimi ami home mission grants. He stated that lasl vear allocations totalled ,1,1185, hut owing to new districts whkh, had l.ven opened up, an 1 had to he lielpiil, this year's allocation had been increased U £1335.
The grants recommended bv the i'oinniiit.ti'C (or various) I'reslivterics were as follows, the figures for last year being in parenthesis :—Auckland £295 (£265), Hawke's Hay ills (£55!, Taranaki £125 (.£125), WiinManui £2511 (£1(15), Wcllliii S toti £lO5 (£1211), Wesllanil £135 (£100), Nelson til.", (Jta.-V), Chrisichurcli £l(i.~, (£105), Tiniani £7O (£75). The .Assembly carried n million in favour of the Uihlc-in-Scliook referendum movement.
