The most enthusiastic gathering thai lias ever occurred in the history of Pukekohe took place to-day on the arrival of the Premier, Hundreds ot men, women ami children were assembled at the station, and a brass band was in attendance. In the evening a large social was held, the. hall being crowded. The Premier presented charters i 0 the local branches of the Liberal and Labour federation, and delivered a short address more especially to the ladies. He claimed to have the confidence of the mothers ot New Zealand.
