TRIENNIAL ELECTION RESULTS. , The election of. members ot the Council for the various Ridings of the County look place on Wednesday, under the supervision, of the Reluming Ollicer, Mi- Ellis,. County, Clerk, and the full details of tin- voting will be foui d in out advertisement columns. It will be seen that only one of the retiring Councillors who sought reelection (jUr J. Amlivus, of lluinuigi) was unsuccessful. In the Moa Riding Mr Robert Stevens takes th> place of Mr McDonald, who retired, Messrs Brown and Hopson being recycled. In the Waitara Riding Mr Tale ousted Mr Andrews, while Mr Hill was again, returned. In (lie OIIW.-1 ta Riding there is a total change of Councillors. The result is that only llirce of the old members will return to their seals at the Council table, where live new members will sit,. Of the latter, Messrs Atllam and Tate have both seen service on the Council. The Returning Officer is to lw congratulated on the promptness with which the returns were got in, and on, the completeness of his arrangements.
