a A Heated Controversy. (Rcceivid Nov. 5, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. i. Mr Hume Nisact, the novelist, in the Daily Graphic, violently attacked Labour Union tyranny in Australia, declaring that no Home immisrant could receive ih.' slightest show of justice or friendliness at their hands. Mr Cofihlan (Agent-General for New South Wales) lias replied that Mr Nisbet was drunk with rage, sine* the Trades Union numbers mimicry! only 150,000 out of 1,100,000 male adults, and how they contrived to fiendishly tyrannise was a mystery. Replying; (o the Financier's Melbourne correspondent's comments, Mr Coghlau declares that Australia's population has increased by 91,592 during the last two yean.
