CHINAMEN SHOT AT IN THEIR GAKDKN. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 5. YestKMilay afternoon a somewhat sensational incident occut ncd at Arch Hill, where a mimber of Chinamen liave gardens. The Chinamen stale thai a young fellow who was passing through the gardens with a dog loged, lirert straight at two of the Ohiiiamcn, wlio was not, however, seriously injured. The man returned in about half an hour, and, it is aT,ig«l, fired straight at two ol the 'LMiiiianien, who were working together. One was hit in tin, f a ce with a I couple of pellets, hut not bad'lv hurt, the other being only slightly grazed. The police are making investigations.
