Charges Against Mr Crick, (Received Nov. 2, 9.49 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 2. The hearing oi the ch&ific against Ml" Crick was continued to-day. Mr Click occupied the greater part of tiie day in an exhaustive cross-ex-amination of Peter Close with once to laud transactions, over which Ihe alleged division of commission took place, and Crick's borrowing transactions with Close's firm. Crick indicated that his olijeel was to show his treatment of land exchanges ' was departmental!) l correct, and in the interests of the public. Close admitted this was so. Mr Pilcher, for the Crown, pointed out 1h.i.1 the gravamen of the "chargo was not whether Crick administered tilK>,D(M>art>ninit properly or improperly, hut whether as a Minister he received ( a gratuity.
