A DASTARDLY OUTRAGE.
(t\:r d'ress Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 2. A peculiar affair has been reported to the police iit Onehunga, a horse he-: longing to R. .Smith having been shot dead by some unknown person, who attempted to similarly despatch two cows, hut only succeeded in wounding them, About nine o'clock last night a neighbour heard a shot fired, and about a minute later two more reports were heard.
