Ami'd a perfect storm of mingled cheers and hoots a vole of thanks and confidence was proposed. An amendment of thanks only, and confidence in the Government, was proposed, bul declared not seconded ami the motion was declared cairicd ' by the chairman, amid an uproar in wh.ch the meeting broke tip.
