Mills, delivered his principal speech to-night at Blenheim. lie adversely criticised the artministration of the Government, awl declaied himself a freeholder, with limitations of areas. 'lie received a vote ot thanks and confidence.

MR MASSKY'K OPKNINC, ADDRESS. (Per Press Association.) PIiKKKOHKi Nov. 2. Me Massey spoke at Pttkekclie tohighi, this being his first address. A memorial with 1UIII! signatures was j-sesented to him, absolving him from the necessity , of addressing" all hut a few places, as tret iniony of confidence. A presentation of a pipe was also made to him by the Pukekohc Cricket Club. Mr Massey delivered an a'hlress, ,rei viewing Hie session, and outlining the policy or the Opposition, which embraces increased control by Parliament ; restoration of the [lowers of the. Audi tor-General ; repeal of the Public Revenue Act ; placing ol the whole of the Government Departments under the Audit Department ; an elective Legislative Council ; public service Board ; affording an opportunity for acquiring ohe freehold of all, classes of Crown land. Mr Grey, the Liberal Labour organ: iser, was present, and asked a numtxr of .questions, as also did others. Ami'd a perfect storm of mingled cheers and hoots a vole of thanks and confidence was proposed. An amendment of thanks only, and confidence in the Government, was proposed, bul declared not seconded ami the motion was declared cairicd ' by the chairman, amid an uproar in wh.ch the meeting broke tip.
