(Per Press 'Association.) NELSON, Oct. 25. Mr Harry Atmore, a candidate for Nelson, addressed the electors of tho city to-night. He declared himself a supporter of the Government, reserving a right to follow- his conscience.' On the land question, lie favoured option as to tenure,\with a right to con-, vert leasehold into freehold. He opposed prohibition, believing it would not prohibit, but favoured the abolition of [.rivate gain in the liquor, traffic. Though a churchman, lie opposed the introduction of the Bible in schools, advocating the system, obtaining in Nelson, of authorised teachers of religion attending half an hour before the ordinary school duty's commenced, with optional attendance. He favoured the retention of the Upper Houte.
