'Albert Gabriel, a restaurant peeper, pleaded guilty in llic Police Conn .to a charge of tiring a pistol without reasonable cause in Alberl Street. snc evidence given by Constable .Mulloky showed that Gabriel admilu-l .to him that he fired the pistol. The Idrfcndaut's explanation at Hie time was that four or five men " rushed him,' 1 and he filed to frighten them, as he was afraid they were poinj; to lob him oi £l*l worth of money and jewellery, which he was carrying. Gabriel gave evidence repeating thn Statement made to the constable. "You did a very reasonable anil proper tlrinp," declared his Worship, who dismissed the information.
