EGG-LAYING CONTESTS.
(Per I'ress Association.) BLENHEIM, Oct. 21. The total for tlie twenty-fifth week of the New Zealand egg-laying competition is 242!, bunging the grand aggregate up to 48,559 eggs, for which the Association have been receiving one shilling per dozen. The week)v average now stands at 24.21. The highest laying for the week is 39, returned by Ashworthx Silver Wyandot tes, from Alexandra, the next high e-t being the Marlborough A. and P. As.sooi.tion pen with !K>. The order of merit in the aggregate results is as hllows:- Leger's White Leghor. s lioiu Levin 720, Uiosks' White Leglorns from Smt.h Australia 668 A and P. Association's White Leghorns b\G, Hockey's Brown Leghorns from iielson G 3. There are 2 J hens in a I l'Jidy condition.
