Al Oakura on Tuesday Mr Okcy addi'is.-.ttl a well attended meeting of electors, the audience including sever-, al ladies. The candidate's speech was on tile same lines as at other places. After a number of questions had be..ii answered, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker.
.Mr Okev will address Hie electors of New Plymouth, in the Theatre Koynl this evening. The Mayoris to preside. Mr T'isch spoke at Oniala on Friday evening, when there was a fair attendance. Mr A. George occupied tit,' chair. The candidate said that he would give due consideration to Ibe opinions and wishes of all rlassis of thc community, and assured hisi hiwrers that the farmers' interests would not be neglected. In answer to questions b c considered! land values were too high, and that the land was being taxed to the hilt. A vote of thanks to the speaker was carried.
