Mr McGowan moved the second reading of the Criminal Code Amendment JJill, which inakea a defamatory libel b.v speech liable to punishment in tire same way, as a printed or written defamatory libel is punishable. Tho debate was interrupted by tho 5.30 adjournment. EVENING SITTING. The House resumed at 7.30 p\m. The second reading of the Criminal Code Amendment Bill was carried by. 41 to 21.
