The Mikado's Rescript
Tiailstothe Array and Mary. (Received Oct. 18, 9.1 H p.m.) TOKIO, Oct. 18. The Mikado's remarkabie rescript thanked the army and navy for their unprecedented victories, which realised to the full the purposes of the war. He expressed profound sympathy with the ■offerers, yet he reminded them that their heaven-sent duties owing to their ancestor* and the nation had been well discharged.
