DEPUTATION TO SIR JOSEPH WARD. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 18. A deputation of civil servants waited upon Sir Joseph Ward this afternoon to thank him for the introduction of the Civil Service Superannuation Bill, a,tul to urge upon him the Wish of all the officers that t-lie Bill should become law this session. Sir Joseph replied that the measure w.'if," a very nccessfcary and important one, and he assured the deputation that he wou'd use his best efforts to give tiffed to the wishes of the officers by having the Act placed upon the Statute Book before the present Parliament was dissolved.
