Tie Labour Caucus. Perth, October l'J. Mr Daglisk states that he does not intend to stand as a labour candidate. He strongly objects to the section pledge providing that all qucstions should be submitted to a cau- S cus. Cabinet and a caucus could not work hand in hand ; oitlicr tho Government must control the caucus, which would render that body valueless, or the caucus control the ' Cabinet, which makes responsible Ministers creatures of irresponsible members. Therefore, if for no other reason, he would not sign, the pledge. There was another plank to which ho could not subscribe ; that was nonalienation of land. Melbourne, October 12. s Mr Wilson, commenting cm Mr Daglish's views, said he had not found the difficulties complained of. Tho ' Labour Party had been elected on a r clear-cut programme, therefore thero was no room for differences of opinion between Ministers and a caucus, The trouble in Western Australia ap* | peared to be that the caucus was not kj too pressing on Mr Daglish, but too generous. He had made no attempt ? while in office to carry out the programme of party.
