The Council resumed at 7.M0. 111 committee 011 the Shops ami Offices Bill an amendment was carried to allow female assistants to be employed in' refreshment rooms after nine o'clock at night. Hon. A. Pitt pointed out that this would not permit refivshnu-ii'l! room keepers to keep employees at work all night through, but| would cns able them to work m shifts. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
