Auckland, October 10. llowieites from flow Zealand on I arrival at 'Frisco en route for Zion City were detained by the authorities on the ground they wcro under contract to work for Dr. Dowie, who had promised each of them work. Pat Coylo, his wife and live children from Sydney, were also detained. Coylo and his wife being entirely deaf, it was feared they would become a charge on the public. Wellington, October 10. A passenger by the Sierra stales that the Dowieitcs were cventually allowcd to proceed to Zkm City. Coyle and his wife were provided for by relatives. Margaret Worthington, an old woman, who has been "chivvied" about •n the coast of An.erira, was expected to return to New Zealand by tho Sierra, but it appears she is well provided fur by the Little Sisters of the Poor in 'Frisco.
